How I’m feeling: This week I’m feeling a bit off. Working out regularly (light weights). When I sleep, my forearms and hands have been going numb. It’s pretty common from what I’ve been reading, but it doesn’t make it any less weird waking up with 2 dead arms. I’m starting to slow down a bit in the energy department. Almost all week in the early afternoon, I’ve been getting really queasy (I pray that morning sickness isn’t going to return). Part of me is thinking it’s the heat. It’s been in the upper 80’s – low 90’s all week. It’s kicking my bootay.
New and exciting: The baby has been crazy active lately! Tuesday night it was wiggling & kicking so much that you could actually see my belly moving!
Random comments from people: I’ve actually had some friendly ones this week (thankfully!) along the lines of looking “cute” with my new belly. Phew! I needed to hear that 🙂 There was one comment about my face looking fuller, but it’s better than the crazy rude ones I’ve heard before that, so I’ll take it.
Scary stuff: I got stung or bit by a wasp. I’ve never gotten stung by anything before so when my arm looked like this about 5 minutes after, I called my doctor (and pharmacist, and mom, and mother in law) to be sure the baby would be okay. Ew. It really resembled a small country. Gross.
A few hours later, it went back to normal. Phew! I guess you could say that my skin is a bit sensitive lately.
Cravings: Tomato sauce, Cheerios, cherries, potato chips turkey bacon and pink cotton candy!
Aversions: asparagus (still), grilled or dry or plain chicken (still).
Baby is the size of: a cantaloupe
The baby at 24 weeks:
- Its see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque.
- And it’s got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.
- Baby has nipples

My cravings are getting pretty weird and random. What’s the craziest craving you’ve had or heard of? How are all you pregnant mamas out there? What week are you in?
